Against Lab: From Southeast Asia to the World

Representing the scene of Malaysian street fashion, Against Lab emerged in 2015. The brand was created through a shared love of street culture among three individuals from different backgrounds, each with a mutual appreciation for clothes and design. These founders come from retail, graffiti/illustration, and marketing backgrounds. This combination of diverse characters is reflected in their unique identity, which is inspired by a wide range of cultural elements.


Under the ethos “Against All Odds,” the brand aims to go beyond the constraints of fashion through unconventional themes. By incorporating a blend of local Malaysian motifs with contemporary streetwear trends, they represent Malaysian youth culture.


Their collections have varied from T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets to accessories. Additionally, their collaborations with various artists, designers, and brands expand their reach beyond fashion into many forms of creative expression.
